Alan S. Rosenthal was born in Bronx, New York; however, most of his youth was spent in Coral Springs, Florida. He began his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he obtained a full scholarship as the principle bassoonist for the Loyola University Orchestra.

Alan continued his studies at the University of Florida, where he received, in June of 1994, his Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication, as well as a music minor and business concentration.

Alan completed his educational studies at Stetson University in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he received his Juris Doctorate in December of 1997.
